Acclaimed Constitutional Litigator Releases Debut Novel: Clint Bolick Authors Psychological Thriller, "Nicki's Girl"
(PRWeb) February 5, 2007 -- The lawyer who successfully defended school vouchers and led the fight to topple barriers to direct interstate shipment of wine to consumers has just entered the realm of fiction writing.
Clint Bolick's Nicki's Girl is the story of an architect, Kevin Gibbons, who falls in love with Nicole Petri, a beautiful but deeply troubled woman. They marry and have a daughter, Alexandra, who is the spitting image of her mother. After Nicki suffers a breakdown, Kevin is left to raise his daughter alone. Alex begins exhibiting the same terrifying psychological traits as her mother, forcing Kevin into a desperate struggle to save his little girl's life and his own sanity.
Bolick worked in Washington, DC for 16 years before moving to Phoenix in 2001. He has received national attention for litigation and policy work in such areas as school choice, affirmative action, private property rights, and freedom of enterprise. American Lawyer cited Bolick as one of the nation's three lawyers of the year in 2002 for his work defending school vouchers.
Bolick is a frequent contributor to The Wall Street Journal and other publications. His nonfiction books include Voucher Wars: Waging the Legal Battle Over School Choice (2003), and David's Hammer: The Case for an Activist Judiciary, which will be published in April, 2007.
Bolick has been working on Nicki's Girl for over a decade. "My role model, even in legal brief-writing, is Stephen King," he noted, "so I figured it was time to try my hand at writing fiction."
The book was published in January by Tucson, Arizona-based Wheatmark. For a review copy, contact Will Williams at 1-888-934-0888, or the author.
