LUCIA LAGRIMA Debuts as New York City's Newest Cover Girl!

New York, NY (PRWEB) March 25, 2008 -- Lucia Lagrima, having just appeared on the cover of Bergdorf Goodman's 2008 Spring Collections Magazine, is celebrating her status as one of New York City's newest cover girls. Wearing nothing but a silk flower tiara, she is a star on the rise.

It's a marked improvement from her former life at the SPCA of Westchester, which is located in Briarcliff Manor, New York. Oh, by the way, Lucia Lagrima is a mini wire-haired Dachshund who sailed through the SPCA's adoption program in one day. Dog trainer Steve Diller, the director of the SPCA in 2006, along with current director Shannon Laukhuf contacted Furry Murray Weinstock, "the master of canine melodies," whose Tails of the City music CD has been a favorite among dog owners since its release. Weinstock drove up from New York City the following day to meet Lucia and it was love at first sight.

Relocating to Manhattan's fashionable Upper Westside, Lucia soon became a regular at the Riverside Park early morning walk and discussion group. One of the regulars approached Weinstock with a suggestion that he contact ALL TAME ANIMALS, a talent agency that was searching for a unique diva dog for the Bergdorf Goodman assignment. Lucia fit the bill and got along famously with visionary photographer, Yelena Yemchuk! Special thanks must go out to All Tame Animals' "wrangler" and dog trainer extraordinaire, John Monteleone.

Currently, Lucia is looking forward to Springtime with squirrel chasing on her mind, and is eagerly awaiting the completion of a new song written about her entitled "Blue Dog: The Soul of a Clown."
